How does one create a bunch of digital raspberries? The creative and technical masterminds of Fake found a solution: Raspberry bushes were procedurally modeled using the L-system, which is a small iterative block of code that gives instructions how and when the plant will start growing and forming.
Because of procedural approach it was easy to make constraints between bush, ground and top of the branches to achieve a curtain like setup. Simulation used very low resolution presentation of bushes, but at rendering state all was converted to high resolution presentation. It turned out looking amazingly realistic!
